Adding a third partition

Do I really need to spend £43/$60 on third party software.To add a third partition to my hard drive, Which I only need to use once. Or is there a cheaper way to.

A very good free program for managing partitions os Ranish Partition Manager (http://www.ranish.com/part/), not as pretty as the pay item , but it gets the job done.
