I have two fans and only one place to put it in my case. I need to know where I should put it so as to conduct the best possible cooling. I've heard about air pockets and lint, and I need to know how to avoid these over the long run. Please help.
Thanks.

ummm...if you only have one place for the fan...why does it matter?

Explain again please.:p

The fan slot that is already there will be occupied by a fan that will intake air and I want the other fan to push air out. I will glue the other fan anywhere, even over the unocupied, open pci holes in the case. If you have a better solution, which I am sure that you do, please help me out.

I am even willing to drill holes in the tower and make a new spot for a fan.
What I need to know is where to place the fan to make the ventilation the best that is can be.

Can you give us a look at the case?

Normal air intake is low in front and exiting upper rear...taking advantage of warm air convection...

I use an AC sponge type filter on the front intake. The front panel on my Enlight case pops off and I mount the filter in front of the intake fan. This arrangement keeps a lid on household dust and lint before it gets to the inside...It does a pretty decent job and the filter material is dirt cheap...comes in a sheet I cut to fit, or can wash/dry and pop back in.

If you have not place to mount a fan you may need to resort to customizing and plant one on the side panel that will draw air from the CPU fan and expel...

it sounds like you dont have very much room in you case...so i would mount the fan as and outtake on the top of your case.

Well a fan won't do any good unless it has a way to move air into or out of the case. So unless you have a hole or vent at somplace in the case that doesn't have a fan already adding one won't help.

Now if you want to spend the time and effort you can cut some holes in the case in a place to mount a fan. Basically as mentioned the general locations would be front and back. Another common place is the top.

If you already have one fan intaking low...put one outtaking up high...like in the top...
