Hi there,

I'm also having a problem with RAM, if anyone can help.

I bought some RAM from eBay. When I install the 2 new sticks of RAM onto my 661fx-M without the old stick, the computer will not boot whatsoever. Not even a beep. When I put in an old stick with a new stick, the computer finds the old, but not the new.

When I went into the BIOS, I noticed that I can set the DRAM timings to "Auto" or "Manual". Why doesn't BIOS automatically setting the timings for the new RAM?

Is it the RAM that's not working, or is it incompatible with my computer? If so, what is the specification that makes it incompatible?

I updated my BIOS, but the computer still doesn't recognize the RAM.

If someone could help I would greatly appreciate it!

The exact specs shown on the old (working) stick are as follows: PC2700U-25331-Z
256MB DDR333 PC2700 CL2.5
