The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite pro P10-304, with a P4 2.6 ghz running windows XP home (sp1)
It takes a long time to boot and just before windows starts i get the message
Winlogon.exe -Unable to locate component
The application failed to start because the IMAGEHLP.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
When i click ok it takes a further 2 minutes for the login to appear. when i logon as admin, it takes a further 2 minutes for the desktop to appear and then the pc runs slow
I have checked and the IMAGE.dll file is in the I386 folder on the c drive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
