We need more information:
How many PCs are you connecting to the internet? One?
Do you have a router making a LAN?
What type service is your ISP providing? DSL? Cable? Satellite?
Who is the provider?

Have you tried the usual fix for a lost broadband connections as follows...?
1. Shut down the PC.
2. Disconnect the power plug from the back of the modem to power it off.
3. Switch on the PC and power up the modem [by reconnecting it]. Do these within a couple of seconds of each other.
Have you contacted the telephone helpline of your broadband ISP?
Mine are able to tell me that they can see my modem, and that it is working/connected ok [or not].
One time I had to fiddle with the cable connections before they could see the modem; that prevented the need for them to send out an engineer to check the connections and the modem.
