====== Task Manager won't appear ... ======= Moved...

Started having this prob a few days ago. When i hit ctrl alt del, taskmgr wont show.. however if i do a right click on the taskbar to show it, it does appear.

Does this mean some kinda malware is blocking access when i hit ctrl alt del?

I've tried scanning with several anti-adware/virus softwares.. still didnt manage to solve the problem...

Anyone has the solution to this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated... ^^

Please do this.
Download 'Hijack This!'. http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe
Save it in a convenient permanent folder such as C:\HJT\, double click HijackThis.exe, and hit "Do a system scan and save a logfile".

When the Notepad window opens, do Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents here. Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

I'm not amazing at analyzing these logs, but I'll do the best I can. If I'm not 100% sure of myself, I will refer this to the resident expert, Budfred.

Strangly enough a few days ago my task manager access has changed,now all i get is a box showing the user who is logged on and the only options are to disconnect or log off....and it wont close down once it is opened!

irmarky, open your Window's Task Manager, and double-click anywhere in the grey area, that should solve your problem :)
