my AST Adventure! 430 is very advanced for its age, on board CD-ROM, HDD, non-socketed BIOS, On Board Video, BIOS USB support and its only a p166!

But heres the cache, The BIOS has the option to boot off CD-ROM and it reads both CD-ROMs just fine, but it wont boot off them, nor the floppy, when i put in the floppy connector, it stops reading one hdd. What Could be The Problem????

Set the boot order in bios to A, CDROM, C if possible. You want the "C" drive (hard disk) to be the last one the system will try to boot from.

Regarding the floppy disk; I think you might have connected the cable the wrong way around. This can confuse some chipsets into doing all kinds of weird things. Try a different cable.

Ok that worked, sorry about the wait. I need it to boot off a CD now, how can i get it to boot off the CD, it says there is a Failure in CD boot, When i hear the CD-ROM spinning up but it still reads it as a failure, how can i change that?

Many older BIOSes/chipsets/CDROM drives did not properly support booting off optical devices. I don't think this feature worked right at least until late '99 or so... You could be out of luck on this one I'm afraid. :( Then again, I hope you'll prove me wrong. :)
