I'm struggling to find internal (motherboard front connection) USB ports, such as will fit into a 3.5" bay, with pigtails long enough to reach the extra headers on my motherboard. I'm guesstimating the tails need to be 'bout 12" long, and all I seem to find is about 6.5".
Am not looking for a complete assembly - I found some by FrontX and Cables To Go, but that would run around $30 by the time I get them shipped. I'm happy to mod a bezel to install a couple of ports (in fact, have already done so...). I just can't find a couple of ports with long enough cables.
I suppose if I could find 5x1 or 5x2 connectors (with ferules) and a supply of shielded cable, I could build up my own from existing short-tailed ports.
Anybody got any suggestions on where to look?
