Have a friend that has onboard video, 810 chipset. I only have PCI slots to get him a video card. I am trying to keep the prive to around $50. Which chipset/amount of ram should I be looking at?
He also has a Celeron 500Mhz and 192MB ram.
The games he plays are command and conquer type and is looking to speed up the game.

ok... here's the deal http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
check out www.pricewatch.com, (http://www.pricewatch.com,) do a search in Video Cards for 64MB
this is / was the first listing: Retail 64MB PCI Geforce2 MX200 Video Card.
price at around $54.00, could go cheaper getting a 32MB card, but more is better, right? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
I the brand is Aopen, the resellers website is www.computer123.com (http://www.computer123.com)
I use www.pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com) for most things... (when I am in the states)
Hope this helps
Yes there are PCI version of even the GeForce3 card floating around (but they are more than $50), so it looks like your best bet would be a GeForce2. Inno also makes a pretty good card....(GeForce series) at a fairly reasonable price......
