Hi everyone,
I am networking my son's and my computers together with a switch. He is running Windows XP Professional and I am running Windows XP Home. We both are showing that we are connected to the LAN at 100 Mbps. We are not sharing internet (we have a dial-up connection and were told that we cannot share the internet with this switch, which makes no sense to me as we had done lots of research which indicated we could, but I digress).
I can access his files, but his computer cannot access mine, even if I share the folder. Any idea why? I have also elected to share my printer, and he cannot access it at all from his computer. I'm confused. I was told this was easy, but it's really not.
