Hi, I'm looking to buy about 100 of each and I was wondering where to look online. I don't care if they're generic as long as they will play on my TV's DVD player. Speed isn't an issue either because my drive only burns a 24x cd and 8x DVD. I live in NY, so I would prefer something out of state to save on taxes.

Thanks for any help you can give.:)

Hi Batgirl, do you already know, which brands/formats (DVD+R, DVD-R) runs best in your TVs player? I have 2 DVD Player and they both take very different DVD Rs, so I most of the time have problems to use the too cheap ones.

Before buying 100 I would check and make sure that they work well in a TV, as some DVD+Rs might not work with your player.

www.newegg.com is a good source of computer stuff at good prices.

That's good advice, I guess. The DVD player I have now will play movies on generic CDs and I've only used Verbatium DVDs and they work fine. Plus I'm buying a new DVD player Friday, so I'll check that out first.

Do some name brands really don't work in some players!?!

I use Verbatim exclusively. And I usually start keeping an eye out at Newegg for sales when I am getting low on DVD's. You can usually find a 100 pack between $20-$25 after mail in rebate. Sometimes I will pick up a pack or two when I see a really good sale (under $20 with free shipping) regardless of needing them at the time or not, as I will use them sooner or later.

I have probably sent in 7 or 8 MIR's from Verbatim and have always received them. Expecting one now for $14 from my last 100 pack.

If a DVD player will play a CD-R music CD of a certain brand Does that mean it will play DVD+R movies of the same brand?

Not necessarily. But compatibility issues are far less with newer DVD players then they were a few years ago.

Although if you have DVD player that is new or within the last year or two it shouldn't be a problem, it's probably best to do like some of the others suggested and get a small pack for cheap and make sure they work fine in your DVD player before shelling out the cash for a 100 pack.
