I'm looking to add an extra internal hard drive for some extra space but had some questions about SATA connections. My computer is a Dell Dimension 4600, and I found the SATA connectors on the motherboard. Does anyone know if a hard drive with SATA 3.0 is compatible? My main drive is on an IDE channel, so I haven't ever tried hooking up a SATA drive. I was considering this one:

So if any of you know if this should work, then let me know.

Happy Thanksgiving! :D

Yes, it should work. WD SATA3.0 drives usually have a jumper to change the SATA speed, so that can be adjusted as needed.

Happy thanksgiving to you too (I live in Canada and we have out thanksgiving in October ;))
