as long as you have an atx power supply, it shouldn't be a problem, I went from a p3 to a p4 using the same case / atx power supply and stuff runs the same.. well.. a LOT faster now http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Yes just tie the extra P4 power connector up out of the way

I don't know of any pictures, but I can explain it. The ATX12 has an extra power connector that is square-shaped, and provides P4 mobos with some kind of 12V electrical power that is not required (a P4 system can run without it) but is recommended (it will keep your P4 more stable apparently). The extra 12V connector is in addition to the standard ATX config of cables and should not impact your P3 system if not used. As rond36 said, just keep it out of the way when using a P3 system. And then, yes, when you upgrade to a P4 you can use it.

If you have the option, I say get the ATX12, especially if you're planning to move up to a P4. Socket 478 Pentium4, right? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Oh yeah, you probably know this, but 300W-350W power supply is recommended these days.
