Hello everyone, I've decided to go ahead and build my new computer. I think the parts I've picked out are good for now and will allow me to upgrade to a DirectX10 card when they become more mainstream. I looked at buying the 8800 but decided against it for now. Here are the parts I picked out, please tell me what you think.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz 4M sharing L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor – Retail $308.00

EPoX EP-5P945C Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 945P ATX Intel Motherboard – Retail $81.99

Just glancing over that does anyone have any recommendations that I look at another product or do you think I've picked out the goods? I'm somewhat of a heavy gamer so I need performance, I think and hope these parts will provide the power I need.

Edit: I just read something on Wikipedia that I didn't know, but I wanted to confirm it here and ask for advice.

"Unlike the previous Pentium 4 and Pentium D design, the Core 2 technology sees a greater benefit from memory running synchronously with the Front Side Bus (FSB). This means that for the Conroe CPUs with FSB of 1066 MT/s, the ideal memory speed is PC2-4200. In some configurations, using PC2-5300 can actually decrease performance. Only when going to PC2-6400 is there a significant performance increase. While expensive DDR2 memory models with tighter timings do improve performance, the difference in real world games and applications is negligible."

I had planned on getting PC2-5300 as you can see in my list of parts, should I consider getting PC2-4200 as the article in Wikipedia suggests? I know Wikipedia isn't always 100% correct so I wanted to ask about it here where I know everyone is always 100% right
