Anyone used FastLynx file transfer? [Archive] - The PC Guide Discussion Forums

Has anyone used this program? I need to transfer files off of my old computer and I heard that FastLynx is a good program for this. Apparently it costs less than laplink and their website says it can transfer using USB. Does this really work?

I don't have any experience of fastlynx, but this may be of interest to you.

I use Interlink to do the kind you are talking about. Interlink is an old DOS program, from around DOS 6.0 I think. It just needs a floppy in both machines and a parallel cross-over cable. It's not fast, but if you are talking about a one-off situation it might be a consideration. The total size of the program is only around 50KB. I have seen it listed as a download somewhere, but am not sure where. Whatever program you use you're going to need a special cable, I think.
