I want to upgrade an Nvidia MB that support AGP8x to the best video capture card available. I tried a 64MB ATI all in wonder card, but it sucked.

I figure if the mainboard is Nvidia, maybe an Nvidia car would be best. I want to capture analog video off an older camera as well as watch DVD or TV.

Anyone know what the best deal would be? Should I forget AGP and go with a new system to get PCI express..?

Full system specs are needed.

If you are going to buy a motherboard, then you might as well do a core upgrade... it will save you money in the longrun. If you do decide to upgrade, then you will have the most options in terms of performance. Let us know.

ATI is the only company that makes vid cards + capture cards all-in-one. Any AIW (All-in-Wonder) card can do this. If you got one that sucked, then it's probably because it was older. But otherwise, NVidia doesn't makes analog capture options built into their GPU's. You'll have to go with a stand-alone PCI capture card.
