I am writing a small report and want to use official documentation words.
What is the official documentation word for @ used in email addresses?

Since it is part of an email address I would think that it would "officialy" be the @ symbol, but the word it stands for is "at".

No it is not directly used to reference an email in the report.

I think it has another name other than "at" I came across it once before whilst speaking to someone with residence in the Asian Pacific country (English-Speaking) since I was refering to "at" sign my companion corrected me with this other name.

Most signs have an offical name don't they?
~ tilder or swirl character.
' aprostrope or single speech
" quotation or double speech
^ carat or triangle sign
> chevron or grater then character

etc. etc.

In shorthand it is the "at simbol". In type setting and font authoring it is "commercial at"
