I am trying to reformat my computer using a disk. Once I boot to a CD it does the whole process until I try to delete the partitions. When I try to delete them or if try to create a new partition, I get an error message saying "a problem has been detected and windows must be shut down"
What can I do to fix this problem and reformat my computer

Could you be more explicit in giving details?
1. What is this bootable CD you're using?
2. Which program are you using to "delete" the partitions or "create a new partition"?

Im using an XP Cd to load. It will first scan my computer and all my drivers and load the necessary things. Once it gets to the screen to delete partitions, it gets an error message as soon as I press any buttons
