I have been building and upgrading computers for a few years now, and so i consider myself very knowledgeable with the aspects of a computer. But, when it comes to labtops, i'm about as coherent as a Florida voter. My brother has asked to recommend him a computer to buy, and his company that he is working for is picking up the bill! Since I rarely research labtops and I am cetrainly a novice in terms of premium quality and bang for the buck Labtops. Do Dell or Gateway computers compete to the I-builtit companies that we are so fond of these days? I need all the website information that you guys feel would help me out here, and if possible your opinion on a system that you would buy if money was no object. Put yourselves in my brothers position for a sec gentleman, if someone said "pick any labtop you want, don't worry about the cost" what the heck would your crazy little mind want to have?

PS: So far, Guru3d.com and tomsharware.com have been little help to me so far, so any other websites besides thoughs.....:

I know, this is a PC site, but I kind of like.....this (http://www.apple.com/powerbook/)...why, because it probably has the best screen I have seen on a laptop, and it looks pretty darn nice sitting on your desk....(I wish I had one myself, but all I get to do is drool whenever I go to my ISP's office...)

Hey S_K_I
Netlux (http://www.netlux.com) has always had some pretty nice prices and a decent selection of different levels of machines.
The P4 2.2 on the main page is SWEET.
If I had my way, thats what I would be workin with right now (instead of a Compaq){note: I love my Compaq though}

Let us know what you come up with http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Dell usually has the most cutting-edge laptop options...look for a 16" screen, geforce4go video card, combo cdrw/dvd, and the fastest P4 you can get...
