Help Windows Protection Error

When I turn on my computer it gets past the Windows Splash Screen and says: "Windows Protection Error. You Need to Restart Your Computer. System Halted." I am able to get to safe mode, but i do not know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are there any other details...like referring to a driver or device that is malfunctioning?

Usually, if you can get into Safe Mode, that error indicates a driver/device problem.

Which Operating System and if WinME have you tried a System Restore?

Any other history of how this all began.
