some continuous party mix (6 hours long) was recorded on pc with Sound Forge 7.0
and saved like mp3 file 256kbps quality
but size of mp3 file is 3.75GB
its seems like that file actually is in wav format, but extension is mp3

cant play this mp3 file even re-open with Sound Forge, some errors is shown like 'corrupted' or 'format not recognized'

can anyone help with this file?

thanks!

Try simply renaming the file with the extension .wav, it may work...or not. If your file is 3.6 gig it's surely in an uncompressed format like .wav. I use Sound Forge 6 since a couple of years and it don't allow me to record directly in .mp3 format, you should convert the file in the final saving process.

Hope this help :)
