I'm trying to find a mobo for this CPU but what socket is it? 775 is for Duo Core CPU's correct? SO that would mean that this is a 478 socket?
The P4 and P4 "C" CPU's are 478 sockets.

Does the CPU have pins on the bottom? Or holes to accept pins?
It sounds like a P4 Northwood A.
It should say on the top of the CPU what socket it is.
There are s775 P4's BTW.

You're exactly right.
I inadvertently left out the 2.6 GHz spec for the 478 socket P4 and P4 "C".

Yeah it wasn't directed towards you actually, I was answering manny's question about s775 being for Core Duo's. :)
