I would remove everything absolutely not necessary. The CPU is necessary to start up a new softswitch-style motherboard, AND, if the CPU is not getting enough power the machine won't boot up. Have you tried a different wall outlet on a different circuit? If you have a spare power supply, be sure to try that, too.

Remove all hard drives and boot with just 1 stick of memory installed. Double check the small wires that connect the switches, etc. to the motherboard, and don't forget to check the motherboard jumpers, particularly the DEBUG/CLEAR BIOS jumper!!

While properly grounded and wearing a wrist strap, reseat the CPU.

Did the CPU fan come on? It's possible to burn out the new CPUs very quickly if the cooling fan is not installed and/or working properly.

Try those suggestions and let us know.

John

arpsachin2 I couldn't agree more with penguin_powered. Try it with only one stick of ram. And you do have the CPU's HSF installed right?

Do you get any beeps if you try to boot with no ram at all? Assuming you have a working mobo speaker...

zolveria, although you problems are similar it's best to start your own thread as it can get very confusing as to whom we are giving advice to, and to which problem.

And welcome to the http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif forums to you both. :)

ok this is wat i did.

i took it out of my case part by part

and then reassmbled it on the motherboard box and used the screwdrivers to turn on the PC. and it worked. so then i being toooo smart placed everything again on the case and then it didnt work and now when i try it outside the case its still not wroking. :(
