Case Problem

Hi,

I'm a new member to this forum. I am also new to replacing any hardware on a PC. Last week one of my daughters had a CD explode in our PC distroying our CD reader/burner. I have purchaced a new Sony CRX320AE to replace the damaged one in our HP Compaq Presario. My problem is that I can't figure out how to remove the case to change the hardware. I don't want to force or damage anything on the PC. Any advice would be appreciated.

What is the exact model of computer? Have you tried looking in the manual for instructions?

The PC is a hp compaq precerio #SR1517CL. I tried to bring up the manuel that was installed on my PC but got an error message. I did not get a hard copy.
