Alright, well i have my compaq, which at the moment works great, im posting this from it, but heres the reason im posting:

I went to a friends about a week ago, came back and my mom said to me "Howard you left your computer on again, i didnt know how to turn it off since it was password protected, so i just said screw it, and i pulled the plug" every time i loaded up my computer before i left when i turned on the computer it made a loud, very powerful sound from the Mad Dog PSU, now its very quiet when turned on, you can barely hear it at all (meaning you need to put your ear up to the side of the case to hear it) at first i thought something was wrong until i turned on the monitor and the Compaq image from BIOS was given, meaning it had hit post and with the loudest being the Hard drives and CD-ROM's. I fear something is wrong, and i want to fix it before something worse happens.

Thanks in advance:)
