RTC Failure

Hi

I have a pc with an AMD Duron 750 chip. It apparently has an RTC failure which causes the thing to either crash or reboot itself.

How do I determine what is setting it off and how do I fix it?

The first thing to try is to change the battery. It will be a small, coin sized (US Quarter) battery on the motherboard.

If that doesn't do it then the motherboard is most likely a candiate for the skeet range...
