too many taskbar seperator !!

Hi, I wonder if someone could assist me on this?
As you can see, the tasbar has too many seperator and I could not get rid of them. The worst of all is that, whenever a new window is opened, it is doubled in the taskbar...exactly the same thing....rather annoying :mad:

Please please could someone help me?

Welcome to the PC Guide forums. :)

R-click on a blank area of the taskbar, hover over toolbars, click on any checked toolbar that you don't want to deactivate it. Repeat until you have the taskbar as you like it. Then if you like you can chose to lock the toolbar to stop it from happening again by accident.
