MY old hd crashed and have had to replace it with a new one. I have it installed but am having no luck finding how to load the operating system on the new drive. Can someone point me to where I might be able to find a step by step workabout. Pretty new to this so I am sorry to be asking such a basic question. I have the system recovery disks that came with the computer but can't get it to see them when I start it up.
Thanks in advance.
You need to enter the BIOS setup and set the the CD drive to be the first item in the boot order.
Once it is first, it should see the restore disk and then be a simple 'follow the steps' procedure.
