i wasn't sure where to post this but i am having trouble with an old voicemail system that is not y2k compliant.

all i really need to find out is what year has the same dates as 2002 so i can set that as the current year on the voicemail system and the day number will correspond correctly to this years

thank you

Here's some info:

Identical Gregorian Calendar pages repeat every 28 years as long as every fourth year includes a 29-day February. Check it out using the following question's answer. (Just enter this month's number and a year number 28 higher than this year's.)

The answer is 1974 which has the same days as this year.

If I remember correctly it's:

+ 1day/4years - 1day/100years + 1day/400years

ie about 365 + 0.25 -0.01 + 0.0025 = 365.2425 days/year.

Because 2000 is divisible by 400, we had a leap year even though it's a century year, but there was no leap year in 1900, nor will 2100. 28 is 4 years X 7 days/week (365 mod 7 =1 day shift/year).

make any sense?
Steve
