Hi

I have two wireless ADSL routers Netgear DG384GT. I have one set up on my main pc and connected to the internet. I can connect wirelesly from a laptop.

I have another PC and wondered if it's possible to connect the other router to this and join my original network and use my main pc's internet connection etc. I'm trying to avoid buying another bit of hardware kit

Any advice appreciated

Possible....probably.

Easy...probably not, depending on whether the router can be set to just be an access point or not. Otherwise, you would probably need to manually configure the second router with a fixed IP from the first. You would most likely need to be able to disable a number of features on the second router...

Do you have the manual for it? The manual should have how to enable the AP mode, if it has one

it would be much easier to bite the bullet and just buy a wireless network card to replace the network card in the second machine.
