Hi, i recently aquired a bfg 7800 gtx oc. i need a new psu for my computer and i cant figure out wich one. i ran a pc voltage calculation and with the new gc it says i need about 500 w. for my gc it says i need a 12v rating of 26a or higher. while looking on http://www.xoxide.com/ultra-x-connect2-uvblue.html <<<---- that page i saw # +12V1: 17A
# +12V2: 18A. i was wondering if that would add up to run my card so it would have a rating of 35a or its 2 different ratings that were completely different.

Yes that will work. It has two +12v rails, so the combined of both equal enough amps.
But I would recommend a known good brand of PSU Like Antec, Thermaltake, or Seasonic to name a few. Here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817371002) is an even better Antec for the same price as the Ultra. It's even cheaper after MIR.

is 24 power connecter pins the same as 20+4?

The 20+4 is a 24pin connector that has 4 pin section that can be removed in order to use it with a 20pin motherboard if needed.
