Hi there.
:)

How do you turn off the system-restore "Feature" of XP?

I have about 1.5GB of space on one of my partitions being hidden, containing a restore point.

I would rather have the space for work.

How can you turn off the restore-points, delete all the restore point data, and reclaim the HDD space?

Thanks.

To turn off System Restore, follow these steps:

2. Click the System Restore tab.
3. Select the Turn off System Restore check box (or the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box), and then click OK.
4. Click Yes when you receive the prompt to the turn off System Restore.

However, keep in mind that if you get in trouble, you have nothing to fall back on unless you make good backups...
