Connecting Laptop to TV

Hello friends

I have a laptop which is Acer travel mate which has s video and all the requirements

BUt i have bought a Tv(Basic tv) Unfortunatley i dont have S video in this TV,i can see only three inputs(Yellow,red,white),for viewing laptop movies on tv is that needed s video????
How can u suggest me
TO buy a usb point to fix in laptop and 3phase pin to plug in tv
or to buy s video from laptop to 3pins to plug in tv
or to buy any other cables,,please suggest me Apart from buying a new tv??:)

The yellow, red, and white are standard RCA inputs. The white and red are for sound, so they would need to get connected to a speaker out if the laptop has one. You will need a mini-stereo to RCA cable for this.

The yellow is the video. You can get a S-Video to RCA for this.
