Sorry I've been out of the loop for awhile, and I don't know what the backwards compatibility on the ram is for the new boards. I'm trying to setup a whole new system, but I want to use the stuff I already have. I have this RAM stick, DDR 1G PC400 CL2.5, which I'm guessing is a PC2700 400MHZ bus speed stick.

I'm looking to save money, but I'm trying to get the system setup for mainly DVD burning, and maybe a few games on the side. I would need a board that can support my AGP Radeon 9600 unfortunately. Is there a conversion device that lets you plug AGP into PCI express slots these days?

Since I'm on a budget here, I guess i'll be having to go with some old hardware I know, so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

I'm hurting without a computer right now. :(
Thanks!
