I really need some help here, so please help me.

I just purchased a Motorola SBG900 Wireless Modem. I've configured all these big security things, like firewall and password protection, and now when I play Battlefield 2142, or some other PC game, I cannot connect to the internet through the game. As some of you may know, Battlefield 2142 requires an internet connection to be played, and somehow now, after purchasing this new wireless modem, I cannot play Battlefield at all!

I have a PC and a notebook in my house and this problem occurs on both of them.

I really wouldn't like to lower my security settings, is there anything I can do to play my PC games normal again?

thanks
-sour

What firewall are you running on the computer, if any?

Have you configured port forwarding to allow for the game?

I have the WLAN firewall I think, and f-secure firewall.

OK, you will probably need to configure both the software firewall on the computer and the WLAN firewall to allow the game to connect.

Since I'm not familiar with either one, I can't give you the specific directions...but f-secure should probably be fairly straight forward. The one on the modem, you will most likely need to log into the configuration page of the modem to get to the setup options for the firewall...
