Hi, i'm having an interesting connection problem, for the past 2 weeks my connection has been increasingly worse, as of 2 days ago i completely lost connection.

I called Rogers (my ISP) numerous times and did what they instructed, but to no avail. I have 2 computers, one upstairs, and one downstairs, both on a router. When they are both on the Router, there is no connection. When the upstairs computer is directly connected to the modem, it is fine. When they downstairs computer is directly connected to the modem, there is no connection. The Modem itself says that there is no problem, and all of the lights are green, as well, it says that it picks up computer activity, but on the computer, there is no connection. It would seem that the problem is on the computer itself. Any ideas as to what the problem is? and/or how to solve it?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum or anything like that, but my access to the internet on this computer is limited and i'm in a hurry, any help would be much appreciated.

Connect both machines in turn to the router and turn them on.
For each machine do the following:
Go to Start, Run, type cmd and hit enter
From the command line type ipconfig /all

You may have to right click the little C:\ Icon in the upper left of the cmd.exe window and then click Properties, check the box for Quick edit and save.
From the bottom left of the screen use your left mouse click to select the last line and drag it up to encompass all the text and then hit enter. This pastes the information into your copy buffer. This allows you to paste the information by hitting CTRL+V
For each pc, paste the information in a reply post
