Does anyone know how to get hold of the jumper settings for a gigabyte ga-586t2 board rev 1.2 with a pII 266mhz cpu. The webpage does not have this information in their archived user manuals.

Can these settings be "worked out" by some method?

I've had no answer from Gigabyte.

Any help greatly apprieciated, thank you very much,
Andrew

This (http://www.google.com/search?num=50&hl=en&lr=&newwindow=1&q=gigabyte+ga-586t2+jumper&btnG=Google+Search) Google search has a link to the manual in PDF format....jumper settings are in it.

Firstly, thank you very much for your friendly reply. I'm afraid the settings in the manual you link to only go to 233 mhz, although Gigabyte do list a 266 as compatible.

(unless I'm being very dense and have missed something obvious)

Thank you once again mjc

Any other takers?

Oops, just met an old friend who told me that this is a slot 1 chip I would be trying to fit onto a socket 7 board. Am hitting head with rock repeatedly. thanks for listening.
