Happened on THIS (http://www.advogato.org/article/440.html) while browsing. We should be used to it by now but it gives an indication of how the PC's unique ID is created for XP activation, etc. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/tongue.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/tongue.gif

Hi Paul
I have known about this for quite awhile. At the time M$ had to release a patch that you run every-so-often and it gets rid of the identifier. I have posted the zipped file (or at least I am trying to get it up-loaded at the moment) for this. Just un-zipp it and install it anywhere on oyur computer then click on the icon and let it run. It gives list of all documents that have been ammended and where on your computer they are when run.
I use it weekly. I do not know if it will work with Office XP or not. Maybe someone will let me know.

He he; When you've worn yourself out uploading you can send it to me if that's no problem - maybe I can find a link to it on Google though.

Heidi is seriously gorgeous - and such facial symmetry! I have a "family" of five Border Collies.

Gee,
When I saw the link to Heidi's Jpeg, I thought I might see a girl donning a checkered skirt and apron... UH and blouse of course... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Can I be second in line for the Zip file? Correction: 4th. AARRGH! 3rd!

Thanks,
FTT

Anyone who wants the file just send me an e-mail and I will send it on. Boomspeed has changed servers and is having LOTS of problems.

Paul
She is 13 months old and has severe DJD, HD (in both hips) and collie eye anomally. But the medication takes away most of the pain. She is tooo small boned for hip replacement and there is nothing they can do for her. Her pedigree name is "Lynair" Black Orchid (the first part of the name gives the kennel name so if any one in the UK is thinking of buying beware) She has a great temprememnt though. Had a Border before her but had to get her put down after she bit someone and drew blood badly.
