Hello,

I found this iiyama prolite E2200ws monitor

http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/456574/art/iiyama/tft-22-prolite-e2200ws-5.html

I have not heard of this brand before and I am not sure if this monitor is a good one. Therefor I have also found this samsung syncmaster 225bw

http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/515243/art/samsung/22-tft-syncmaster-225bw-5.html

Which one would you recommend and why?

Thanks in advance!

The Iiyama looks a little better because it's a little brighter. Cheaper too, so I can't argue with that. The only thing is that Samsung is a well known brand...

Other than that, they're pretty much identical (the Samsung is slightly heavier and bigger--the screen size is the same, though).

I would go with the Samsung for this reason alone. I have always heard great things about Samsung monitors. There has been many new manufacturers out lately, and none of them have been around long enough to be a known good brand.
