Ok here's my situation:
-I'm the only pc successfully connected to several macs except for one.
-The mac has all sharing open and other macs/pc connect to it just fine.
-My pc can see the mac in "workgroup" but it doesn't show up in local network like the others.
-The mac also displays "samba 3.0.10 (computer name)", while the others say "mac os x (computer name)"
-I click on the mac computer icon in my workgroup network and type in the login to connect, just like I do with the other computers but it immediately refreshes the login after I submit and adds MY pc computer name to the path.
For example:
Connect to (mac computer name)
Login: sarah
Pw: *****
Then it refreshes:
Connect to (mac computer name)
Login: CARRIE/sarah
Pw: *****
Why is it looking for the computer on my pc? Is that the problem? I've tried mapping this by going to run and typing in the ip address\name but its all the same thing happening.
Any help? Thanks :)
