I want to be able to bring in digital video from my camera, edit it on my pc, then put it on a VHS tape. Can anyone recommend a video card? Good editing software? Thanks.

I would say that geforce 4 ti 4600 is a excellent graphics card but not sure of the video editing programs it comes with. I don't thing that video cards come with good video editing programs. Heres a site that rates all different video editing programs. They talk about the pros and cons of the programs too!! http://www.cnet.com/software/1,11066,0-3227896-1202-0,00.html?tag=st.sw.8888.fcat.3227896 (http://http://) Some might be very expensive but some of the cheaper ones are really good. Look at what ppl say about them that bought the programs already.

Ever since I tried video editing, I have been using Videowave, and It has done everything I want. I can capture video from a vcr, edit it and save back to tape or to disk in any format I have needed. The card is an old ATI rage variant ( not sure which one, and would have to take machine apart to check! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif ) I don't know what cards are about currently, but the software to go for IMHO is videowave. Not too expensive either.

if price is no object check out the 3Dlabs oxygen sieries the wildcat is a good bet but about $2x the top nvidia in price. www.3dlabs.com (http://www.3dlabs.com) . but if you are going to play games the Nvidia and Ati cards are more flexable and much cheeper.
