Hi,

I have a mobo Abit BG7 with the spec :supports AGP 4X 1.5 V only .
I suppose there is some restriction to put in a videocard.
Can a Gainward 'Geforce 4 pr0/600 fit in this socket'?so it will work properly?
What does it mean: '4X' in the spec of an AGP slot.

Tnx a lot

Check the actual layout of the socket-some of the original 1.5v AGP sockets were keyed differently than a modern boards'.

I'd say no to it being able to handle the G4 card, simply because the G4 card will require more power than that AGP port can deliver. Not too mention a system with that old a standard AGP port won't have th memory nor cpu strength to handle a geforce card.

the 1x,2x,4x are speed measures of how fast graphics data can move through the AGP port to the systems main memory.
