Apparently the FBI and the CIA aren't the only one using Carnivore to intercept your emails. Check out this link www.despair.com/demotivators/frownonthis.html (http://www.despair.com/demotivators/frownonthis.html) http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/mad.gif

The talk legal action has got to be a joke or a publicity stunt. The cost of any legal action against people who use their "trademark" would far outweigh any possible benefit they would receive. Not to mention the fact that it would be horrendously bad business to sue thousands of potential customers.

. . .of course, Edward Kersten could simply have gone off the deep end. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/redface.gif)

Yep, thought so. Read the bottom of that first link.

"Articles and items appearing in our "Recent Spin" are satirical and are not intended to be an accurate portrayal of the persons, companies or events depicted within them."

Hi Charles,

I have been busy as of late and have not been back to the board and lo and behold Technobabble. You hit it right on the nose :v[ (Ooops I did it too). This link was not about Carnivore or legitimate intellectual property but about how the USPTO could register such an outrageous trademark. Maybe I shouldn't have been so sneaky and used Carnivore. As sea69 said this is satire and IMHO all satire has it darker side. The biggest question now is what will be next and what are the motives behind it. If you noticed on the link they had one saying that they had topped the most stupidest trademark ever. There are far reaching consiquences to this. For examle domain names even thou different and yet similiar are also registered, thus the question why are people out trying to register a name, only hoping to cash in.
This is not why the USPTO was setup, it was conceived to protect the legitimate property of those who conceived it.
JUst had to throw my loonie in (for those of you who don't know what a loonie is it is a Canadian dollar which equals approximately 66 cents US).
