DVD/CD-RW combo advice

I'm thinking of bying a DVD/CD-RW combo drive but am not familiar with any of them. There are only about 3 models available on newegg.com and I was thinking about picking from on of those (a Plextor, a Toshiba, and a Samsung). Anyway, if anyone is familiar with any combo drives and has a reccomendation that'd be great. Thanks!

Not familiar with the combo units, but if the Plextor is anything like their other offerings it should kick some serious butt...they have a reputation of building a very good drive.

hi,
I have a samsung combo drive sm-304b and there not that good (saves space though).I dont know about the others.i woundnt recommend the samsung though.i had a lot problems.
