hi, I have to put together a PC and bring it to Europe. Can anyone suggest me which brand/type of cases are among the smallest ones (but with 300W ps)? I would like to bring it (in the original case box) on board with me and should fit the compartment above the head. Thanks
Andrea

the smallest practical PC cases i know of are NLX, they are strictly for office usage and generally only include a mobo/cpu/ram/NIC-with sound/video intergrated onto the system board.
I would suggest you invest in a laptop if you need PC portability. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

There is no such thing as a stupid question; just an improper one.-my own belief
Also I would think twice about trying to take it on as carry-on, use UPS or FedEx to ship it over....

I have to go personally anyway, UPS or FedEx would cost me too much for overseas shipping

After Sept 11, getting a laptop on as carry-on can be a hassle. I can just imagine how a box full of wires and circuits that you have no real way of powering up would go over at the gate...

I agree, I might put it under in the plane`s belly but i am afraid they are going to treat the box as a soccer ball. Someone suggested me to set up everything except for the heatsink because it`s heavy and could reap apart the entire socket. What u think?

I think this bloke is a member of al-qaeda, trying to blow up a plane.lol.
yes, hold the mustard, hold the pickles...oh wait that is hold the heatsink. And if you save the shipping boxes for the case that should be Ok for repacking it. Don't format or install any thing on the hard drive eithr, you will probably need to do it agin at you destination if you do , because the package will be scanned/poked/prodded/x-rayed and all of that entails some pretty strong magnetic fields that could possibly play havoc with data.
