I recently got a new computer with Vista. It gives 2 methods of burning.

Choose the Mastered format when you need a highly compatible disc that will play in computers with an older version of Windows ......

......You can now use the disc in another computer or media device. This type of disc does not need to be closed.

My old computer still has Win ME so I chose the Mastered format. I want to be able to read all burned sessions on my old machine. Anyhow when I burn multiple sessions, my old machine only recognises the first burn - I can't see any files from the 2nd burn on. What's going on? Any help really appreciated.

Wait until you have enough to nearly fill the cd and finalize it instead of expecting to be able to add to the cd later.

They are barely 17 cents apiece! Get over it!

If you use a non finalized cd in the same pc it was created in fine. If you want to read all files from different pc's or players, don't expect them to see all the files if you don't finalize on the first session. If you close but don't finalize, then, in another session, burn more files and then finalize, many players, ROM's won't see past the first 'barrier'.

Thanks for coming back to me.

I'm waiting on Lexmark to come up with a Vista driver for my printer and so need to print off daily work from the older machine.

Sorted it anyhow with a pen flash drive and bypassed the discs :) I know, I'm well behind the times :D
