Wireless Connection butno Internet???

Hello,

I have a ralink wireless card on my laptop. I show that I have a wireless connection, but I can't get on internet explorer. I've tried this at the library and Panera, and again I can establish a wireless connection, but no internet. :confused: any help would be appreciated.

Library I understand but Panera I do not. I will assume it is a shop of some sort where you expect to get internet access.
These private systems typically require a log-in to access the network/internet. Simply having connection to the network does not mean having “Access.” My local library will give you a user name and password when you give them your library card.

Internet Explorer is a program on your computer. It is used to translate the code used to design web pages into the pretty pictures and functionality you see when on the internet. If you are having trouble access Internet Explorer, that is different then accessing the Internet.

Library I understand but Panera I do not.We talkin' Panera as in Panera Breads?

What I would suggest is contacting the ralink wireless folks' tech-support. I suspect there's something in the settings that needs to be tweaked...
