Ok this is a strange one. I was at work today and log onto my personal @cox.com email address via web access. I goto the inbox and notice... I'm looking at someone else's mail! I log out, run clean up, reboot, log back in, I get into the same woman's inbox! I go to my buddy and tell him to log onto his @cox.com email on HIS computer... he gets the same exact thing... it goes to this same woman's inbox.
Wanting to notify her of the problem, I see her resume in one of her recent emails. I open is and her corporate email address... is the same as MY corporate email address, turns out she works in my building as a temp seeking another position.
I called Cox and they said it's on my end, and the above confirms that. So now I'm thinking conspiracy! Could the IT be somehow putting a tracer on her personal email, and when I log onto the same page, it somehow redirects me/us to her account accidently? Like I said she's a temp looking for another job, so maybe big brother is watching out trying to gain a negotiating high point or something...
Anyone in IT security know of such tactics being used? I called our IT department and they denied all of it... likely story huh ;)
