Hi all;

I realize there are better (more secure) alternatives to IE6, but in using IE6, is there one guide that spells out all the recommended settings for a secure IE6 use?

I have googled and have found a few, but I can't judge for myself what the most secure settings are. So, I am asking the experts here for recommendation.

TIA .... HomeSA

Disable or set to prompt all scripting and activeX controls by customising the settings for the Internet Zone under Security. That is the main area to worry about but you should also apply all MS patches from the Windows Update site and run a decent firewall and a/v. If you want to access safe sites that use these controls just add their domains to the Trusted Sites Zone.
