I am using older versions of Zonealarm (4.something), both pro and free There have been many newer versions released. Is there a known stable version of the ZA? The free version? I have read on the net that after version 5, za can be probematic. I haven't had any problems with the free or the pro versions I have.

Just wondering if there is one most stable version.

I've got ZA 6.5.737 free edition and I've had older ones too. I've never had any trouble that I can remember on any of my home systems. Then again at my age I forget things:p :D
Really though I haven't had a problem and it seems to do a good job for my computers. I've heard of other people having some trouble but I would guess that it plays nice with some systems and not so nice with others. Kind of a take your chance type of thing. Wouldn't hurt to try anyway. I'd do a backup and then give it a shot.
LG;)

Actually I run Kerio 2.1.5 although the free Sunbelt version works well also.
I use this vs my prior ZA Free as it is faster on downloads and still gives excellent monitoring protection.

Agreed.. I used ZA free for ages with no problems, it's a good f/wall once installed and set up etc.. but have to say that Kerio is better in my opinion because apart from the icon in the tray...I wouldn't even know it's there... I use the FREE version by the way..:D

No, I don't like paying for something that works quite well for free.
